FAST-DS 2026 Expert Review
Not Sure Whether FAST-DS Applies to You?
Get your foreign asset reporting position reviewed by a tax expert before making any disclosure or payment under FAST-DS 2026.
Review Before You File
Received a FAST-DS Advisory from the Income Tax Department?
Receiving an email or advisory does not automatically mean that you are required to make a disclosure or payment under FAST-DS 2026.
Your actual position may depend on your residential status, the nature and status of the foreign asset, previous Schedule FA disclosures, foreign income and the information reported in earlier Income Tax Returns.
TaxClear will review your residential status, foreign assets, previous ITR disclosures and available foreign asset information to determine whether FAST-DS action appears to be required in your case.
Get the underlying facts and previous disclosures reviewed before selecting a category, making a payment or submitting a disclosure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Questions About the FAST-DS Review
Does receiving a FAST-DS advisory mean I must file?
Not necessarily. Applicability can depend on residential status, the asset involved, previous disclosures and the facts of the relevant year.
My foreign account was dormant or had a nil balance. Do I still need a review?
A dormant or nil-balance account does not by itself decide the reporting position. Ownership, residential status, relevant year and Schedule FA requirements may still need examination.
I was an NRI when the foreign account was opened. Can FAST-DS still apply?
The opening date alone is not conclusive. Your residential status and disclosure requirements for each relevant reporting year must be considered.
My foreign account is already closed. Is any action required?
Closure does not automatically resolve whether a past reporting requirement existed. The year of closure and earlier returns should be reviewed.
Does the ₹5,000 fee include FAST-DS filing?
No. The fee covers the applicability review and written recommendation only. Filing, representation and additional compliance work are separate.
Will I receive the conclusion in writing?
Yes. You will receive a clear written recommendation based on the records and information reviewed.
Does the review guarantee acceptance by the Income Tax Department?
No professional review can guarantee a departmental outcome. The recommendation is based on the documents supplied, applicable provisions and information available at the time of review.
